Stations of the Cross and Soup Supper
Our Stations of the Cross and Soup suppers were very well attended last year so we will do them the same way this year . Both will occur on FRIDAYS starting with Bilingual Stations of the Cross at 7 PM followed by a simple meatless Soup Supper in the hall.
The following groups will be in charge of the Stations of the Cross and the Soup Supper.
February 20th
Liturgy Committee, Art and Environment, Ushers and Greeters, Finance Council, La Purisima, Knights of Columbus, Bible Study Group (English and Spanish), 7:30 AM Sunday Mass 4:30 PM Saturday Mass
February 27th
Pastoral Council, Senior Group, Hencrafters, Events Committee, 9:00 AM Sunday Mass, Amigos de Cristo Our Lady of Perpetual Help Prayer Group, Apostleship of Prayer Group, Encuentro Matrimonial Mundial.
March 6th
St. Joachim School, St. Joachim CYO, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, Altar Servers (English and Span-ish), 10:30 AM Sunday Mass, Technology Committee
March 13th
Legion of Mary (English and Spanish), Lectors (English and Spanish), Eucharistic Ministers (English and Spanish), Cursillo, St. Vincent de Paul Society, 12:15 PM Sunday Mass
March 20th
Faith Formation Department, Catechists, Youth Ministry, Confirmation Candidates, RCIA Group, 2:00PM Spanish Mass and 6:00PM Spanish Mass
March 27th
Music Ministry, Simbang Gabi, Santo Niño Group, Guadalupanos, Ministry for the Sick, 6:00PM Saturday Spanish Mass
The first group listed will be considered the “lead group” The lead group is responsible for making sure the hall is setup, for the receiving the soup and leaving the hall and kitchen clean. They may ask other groups to take on any of these tasks but it is their responsibility to make sure it happens. All groups listed by day will bring simple meatless soup, or bread to share with the Parish Community in the Hall after the Stations of the Cross are completed.
