Mission and Purpose:
In accordance with Canon 537, each parish is to have a finance council to assist the parish priest in the administration of the temporal goods of the parish and to enable the parish to fulfill its mission in the Church and in the world.
Saint Joachim’s parish finance council’s purpose is to assist the pastor in the administration of the temporal goods of the parish; and, to assist the pastor keep the financial administration of the parish in harmony with the mission of the church.
Regular meetings are held:
Quarterly, i.e., every last Thursdays of the month following the close of the calendar quarter (January, April, July, and October).
Structure/Membership of the Finance Council:
Selected and appointed by the Pastor. These parishioners are registered and are active members of the parish. They are reflective of the ethnic makeup of the parish community and representative of the economic strata of the parish.
