There is nothing more heartening for a writer than to see what he writes is eagerly read by the people. Many times I was stopped on the way by Spanish speaking parishioners of ours to say how much they enjoy reading the Pastor’s desk in our parish bulletin. Some of our parishioners have even told me that they have collected all the bulletins even since I began to write in the parish bulletin! Such complements give tremendous encouragement to me to keep writing week after week even though it involves spending long hours on my desk – reading many articles, books and then writing the article. As much as you enjoy reading my article, I enjoy reading the Vatican corner in our parish bulletin written by Mr. Chuck Ludwig. Reading his article not only keeps me informed about the happenings in the Vatican and the Church world over but saves me a lot of time from reading many magazines to know such happenings. One of our elderly parishioners opined that of the many positive things that have taken place in our parish in recent times, the content and quality of our parish bulletin is certainly one of them. She says, “I just look forward to Sundays to read the parish bulletins.” Thanks to Ms. Pat Ludwig the chief editor of our parish bulletin. On every Tuesday she spends sleepless night to edit and organize the article prior to sending it to the publisher on Wednesday morning by 11.00 am. Ms. Glenda Aragon and Ms. Flor Herce help her in the work of translation and proof reading the articles. Unfortunately our bulletin publishers have served us a notice that they will not be able to publish our parish bulletin in its present form due to lack of advertisements. The parish bulletin dated March 29th 2015 will be the last issue of our parish bulletin in its present form. The parish office went into crisis mode to find out a publisher who will continue to publish our parish bulletin. After working hard for many days, finally we have found a publisher who is willing to publish our parish bulletin provided they are able to get advertisements from our parishioners which would help them to cover the cost of publishing the bulletin. The new publishers are going to be in our rectory office from March 2-6 soliciting advertisements. If you own a company or know someone who owns a company, kindly encourage them to advertise in our parish bulletin which is read by so many people in our parish. Your help in this matter will help us greatly in bringing out the parish bulletin which in addition to giving all the happenings in our parish gives you food for your mind and soul.

No hay nada más alentador para un escritor que ver que lo que escribe es leído con entusiasmo por la gente. Muchas veces me pararon en el camino nuestros feligreses que hablan español para decirme cuánto disfrutan leer el artículo del Pastor en el boletín de nuestra parroquia. Algunos de nuestros feligreses me han dicho que han recogido todos los boletines desde que comencé a escribir en el boletín parroquial! Estos elogios me dan tremendo estímulo para seguir escribiendo semana tras semana aun cuando se trata de pasar largas horas en mi escritorio – leyendo muchos artículos, libros y luego escribir el artículo. Así como te gusta leer mi artículo, me gusta leer la esquina del Vaticano en nuestro boletín parroquial escrito por el Sr. Chuck Ludwig. Leyendo su artículo no sólo me mantiene informado sobre los acontecimientos en el Vaticano y la Iglesia del mundo entero, sino también me ahorra mucho tiempo de leer varias revistas para saber de tales acontecimientos. Uno de nuestros feligreses ancianos opinó que de las muchas cosas positivas que han tenido lugar en nuestra parroquia en los últimos tiempos, el contenido y la calidad de nuestro boletín parroquial es sin duda uno de ellos. Ella dice: “Sólo espero los Domingos para leer los boletines parroquiales.” Gracias a Sra. Pat Ludwig la jefe redactor del boletín parroquial. Cada Martes ella pasa la noche en vela para editar y organizar el artículo antes de enviarlo al editor el Miércoles por la mañana antes de las 11:00am. La Sra. Glenda Aragón y la Sra. Flor Herce le ayudan en el trabajo de traducir y editar los artículos. Desafortunadamente, nuestros editores del boletín nos han enviado un aviso de que no serán capaces de publicar el boletín de nuestra parroquia en su forma actual debido a la falta de anuncios. El boletín de la parroquia con fecha de 29 de Marzo, 2015 será la última edición de nuestro boletín parroquial en su forma actual. La oficina parroquial entró en crisis para encontrar un editor que continuará publicando el boletín de nuestra parroquia. Después de trabajar arduamente por muchos días, finalmente hemos encontrado un editor que está dispuesto a publicar nuestro boletín parroquial con la condición de que sean capaces de conseguir anuncios de nuestros feligreses que les ayudaría a cubrir el costo de publicación en el boletín. Los nuevos editores van a estar en nuestra oficina de la rectoría del 2-6 de Marzo solicitando anuncios. Si es dueño de una compañía o conoces a alguien que tiene una empresa, por favor anímelos a anunciarse en el boletín de nuestra parroquia que es leído por mucha gente en nuestra parroquia. Su apoyo en este asunto nos ayudará mucho en sacar el boletín parroquial que además de publicar todos los acontecimientos de nuestra parroquia le da comida a tu mente y tu alma.
